I am a Result Coach not a Life coach. What's the difference you ask? I am your accountability partner. I am holding you responsible for your actions and results and I will tell you when you didn't do your work to become your best. I am calling you on your excuses. But I am also the first to celebrate your wins and be grateful that you allowed and trusted me to bring you where you want to be. I am making your goals my mission for you to accomplish them.
Have a great day. Go forth, make it count, Marc The path you decide to take will bring you where you must go in order to arrive at the destination. Sometimes it looks like there's nothing there. Trust in the infinite intelligence which is always there to guide you.
Lately, when I was explaining how the mind works, I have been asked about 'Emotional Intelligence". So here is a video to understand that knowing how to use your emotions to walk towards the life you want is what "emotional intelligence" is. Please feel free to comment and share. Have a great day. I had a situation with my 5 year old daughter where she was too scared to start her new practice tennis group. The trainer had decided that she had enough talent to play with older boys and that it would help her improve faster to play with stronger and older kids. But my daughter was sitting on the side line crying because she was scared. I explained to her that fear is always part of the process when you do something new but that once you overcome your fear you feel fantastic. It resonated with her and she finally did join the group. The confidence she got from this experience was amazing. She was so proud of herself. And she is aware now that fear is normal when you grow but also the wonderful feeling once you battled through it. Are you facing your fears or are you staying in your comfort level? Have a great day. Make it count, Marc When you love what you do and you have a purpose you will never work again in your life. My purpose turned 6 today.
Last week I was invited to conduct a conference with the Hotel Association of Los Cabos on the topics "Leadership and Time-Management". The majority of the attendees consisted of Hotel Directors, Executives and Human Resource Managers who were interested in receiving practical tools to become better at managing their time. But as the conference went on I addressed one of the main challenges many leaders are experiencing these days, the Millennials. We seem to have come to a point where almost every company is experiencing challenges with this generation which in my opinion is created due to a lack of understanding what the Millennials want. Ignoring this generation's point of view and refusing to acknowledge that they are operating differently carries the danger for companies to get out of business in the long run because in the years to come Millennials will dominate the workforce.
A gentleman in the conference stated that the Millennials are impossible. I responded that the true problem aren't the Millennials but the way the companies are operating. Often the bottom line and the internal structures are more important than the people itself. But companies are people, without people companies are left only with equipment and an empty building. What was even more interesting during this discussion was when attendees, who were clearly not a Millennial, requested that they want the companies to care about them too. Are we are entering a time of revolution in the way companies see and treat their employees? I believe that companies have to be willing to innovate and change their way of thinking. They have to be open to the change that will come. And it will come without a doubt because the Millennials won't change their ideas and needs. They will force us to come together and grow. I will write a more detailed article during the month of July about the Millennials and their impact on today's workforce. The Millennial is a wonderful generation, educated, ambitious, dedicated but only if what they are doing makes sense to them. There is a misconception about them that most leaders are not understanding and eventually will put many enterprise out of business.
